The Plenary Assembly is a gathering of around 90 Bishops from various regions of Canada who are members of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB). This assembly is held annually and lasts for a week. During the meeting, the bishops discuss a wide range of topics that are relevant to the Catholic community in Canada.
It is at this gathering that the Stella Maris Canada bishop promoter, Bishop Thomas Dowd, brings together the bishops from the diocese that have seaports across Canada.
For Stella Maris Canada, it will finalize the process that has been leading us to certification as a national agency, as mandated by the CCCB 2 years ago.
