Stella Maris North American Conference 2024
This conference follows on the annual NAMMA Conference, and is a gathering of Stella Maris chaplains and associates from across North America. The theme of this Conference in “Exploring the Spirituality of the Stella Maris port ministry”.
Annual Canadian Catholic Conference of Bishops (CCCB) Plenary
The Plenary Assembly is a gathering of around 90 Bishops from various regions of Canada who are members of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB). This assembly is held annually and lasts for a week. During the meeting, the bishops discuss a wide range of topics that are relevant to the Catholic community in Canada.
It is at this gathering that the Stella Maris Canada bishop promoter, Bishop Thomas Dowd, brings together the bishops from the diocese that have seaports across Canada.
For Stella Maris Canada, it will finalize the process that has been leading us to certification as a national agency, as mandated by the CCCB 2 years ago.
NAMMA Conference 2024
The North American Maritime Ministry Association (NAMMA) hosts a conference every year to address the ever-evolving challenges experienced by seafarer’s welfare organizations. The NAMMA conference aims to empower these organizations in their mission to serve effectively, anticipating to host 100 delegates from both local and international sea’ welfare groups.
